The Football Manager match engine is being brought into full 3D with motion captured animations for each player, developed in conjunction with SEGA s in-house studio, Sports R and D Division. You can now watch your matches in 3D from multiple camera angles, and can re-watch any part of the match by fast forwarding and rewinding the action using a new match time bar that flags the key moments in the game. There is also a new full screen TV view, where players can customise their match view by choosing the information they would like to view during the match, be it the latest scores or player performance stats for the match, and arranging this information onscreen using a new drag-and-drop widget system, that lets players customise their match day screen with the information that they need as a football manager.

Once upon a time, Microsoft crowed that Windows Vista would be twice as popular as XP. Research firm Ovum, Ltd., predicted a more modest 15 percent switchover in the first year, but gushed that Vista would be “the fastest-moving operating system ever.” IDC forecast 10 percent, relatively anemic compared to XP’s 14 percent in the first year, but a decent showing. And now? More than two years after its launch Vista has managed a penetration of just 9 percent, according to a Forrester Research report released last week, giving it the dubious distinction of being the least popular new Windows OS out of the gate, ever. But things are looking up for Vista. This year finally will be the big one, says Forrester. Really. Thirty-one percent of the 962 North American and European IT decision makers interviewed for the report have already begun migrating to Vista; another 26 percent plan to start in 2009 or later.

On the other hand, “IT decision makers don’t have an entirely rosy outlook for Windows Vista,” wrote analyst Benjamin Gray. Some 28 percent of respondents have not yet decided about whether or not to migrate, and 15 percent plan on skipping Vista altogether and going straight to Windows 7 when a final version is released in 2010. Here’s how enterprises currently break out, according to the report: 71 percent still use Windows XP, 10 percent use Windows 2000, 9 percent use Vista, Apple’s Mac OS X and “other” each garner 3 percent, and 2 percent use Linux.

It’s being reported that a man has died after putting a new battery in his phone. After the initial charging, he put the phone in his pocket and shortly thereafter it exploded, killing him. This is the ninth such explosion reported since 2002. The Chinese daily Shin Min Daily News reports the accident occurred on January 30 at 7:30pm local time at what may have been a Lenovo shop. A nearby employee heard a loud bang, looked over and saw her co-worker lying on the floor in a pool of blood.

While the make and model of cell phone is not yet known or not being reported, police are currently investigating whether or not the phone and/or battery were counterfeit. Authorities have issued warning tips that cell phones and batteries should not be tampered with or replaced with counterfeit parts. In 2007, a 22-yr old welder died from chest wounds when his mobile phone exploded while working at an iron mill. Authorities concluded in that case that the battery had been exposed to sparks and high heat in the iron mill.

A slightly unusual music release has been released by group FNT recently: a new studio album Hymn To The Immortal Wind from Japanese rock band Mono. This is an ADVANCE release pred almost 2 months before the retail date. The album consists of only 7 songs, but they are somewhat lengthy so you will surely enjoy it.

Hymn to the Immortal Wind is the fifth album by the Japanese post-rock band Mono, to be released March 24, 2009. The album was recorded and mixed in June and November 2008 at the Electrical Audio Recording Studios, Chicago, Illinois, by Steve Albini. A music video for the fifth track, Follow the Map, has been released to promote the album.

Just in time for their 10-year anniversary, MONO return to Birmingham in support of their fifth studio album, the absolutely massive Hymn To The Immortal Wind. The music is naturally majestic, with MONO’s trademark wall of noise crashing beautifully against the largest chamber orchestra the band has ever enlisted. The instrumentation is vast, incorporating strings, flutes, organ, piano, glockenspiel and tympani into their standard face-melting set-up.

Recorded to analog tape with long-time friend and producer Steve Albini, there is an intimacy captured here that is at once beautiful and a little terrifying. The creaking of old wooden chairs as the orchestra rocks in their seats (both literally and figuratively), puckered lips rolling along flutes, and even the conductor’s opening cue can be heard during the hauntingly quiet opening moments.

Wasnt expecting a third “Feast” movie especially so soon since the second one was only released about 2-3 months ago. I had a quick look but couldnt find a trailer for this movie, ill keep looking and add it if i can find it. I actually havent had a chance to watch the second one but the first one was great for a lower budget movie. In the third movie they get help from a karate expert named Jean-Claude Seagal (ROFL) to try and destroy the beasts. Quality is good as expected from a DVD rip, warning sample contains nudity

Ok, we had a so called DVDSCR released by non-scene a while back. Now here is a TELECiNE by VST. After viewing the sample it does look a bit better then the non scene release. It is still a dark and the picture quality isn’t clear, although watchable. The sound is very good. Take a look at the sample for more details.

Ron Howard was to direct, but scheduling conflicts led to his replacement by Eastwood. Howard and Imagine partner Brian Grazer produced, alongside Malpaso’s Robert Lorenz and Eastwood.

Sorry about the lateness of this post, it was released about 10 hours ago while i was sleeping and didnt notice it when i woke up until now The movie is based on the book with the same name, starring Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston and has also received some fairly decent reviews. Quality is really really good for a TS although there is a cinema chair in the bottom right hand corner that ORC didnt want to crop as explained below, enjoy.

Notes from NFO: As you can see from the sample we left a seat uncropped in the release because it was too nasty if we cropped it out and its pretty unobtrusive after a minute or two, if you dont like it dont leech it but you were warned right here =) Also there is a short (30s) moment where the line went to static, so instead of leaving static-ey junk, we subbed in the cam line for these portions. Theres a tad bit of static on the transition back to line. And very minor varible crop bottom left last few mins of film due to cam movement. No nukes since we mention it here =)
