Much of the game's popularity came from its two-player simultaneous gameplay, which was an uncommon feature in video games at the time of Contra's release. While successful in the arcades, the game became and remained widely popular and remembered when it was ported to the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1988. Contra was voted #1 by gaming website IGN.com as being the "Toughest Game to Beat".

Contra III: The Alien Wars, released in Japan as Contra Spirits and in the PAL region as Super Probotector: Alien Rebels, is a 1992 SNES game by Konami. It is the third console iteration of the Contra series, following the original Contra and Super C for the NES. The game's tentative title in North America was Super Contra IV (possibly due to Operation C's place in the timeline)
Plot
he game takes place in a dismal 2636, two years after the events of Super Contra. The protagonists Bill Rizer and Lance Bean are deployed once again to counter an alien invasion. In the original North American localization of Contra III, Bill and Lance were renamed "Jimbo" and "Sully" respectively. Since the North American localization of Contra and Super C on the NES changed the setting to present time, while Contra III took place in the 27th century, an explanation was given in the manual that Jimbo and Sully were actually the descendants of Bill and Lance from the previous games. In the PAL version, Bill and Lance are replaced once again by cyborg units RD008 and RC011. The original names of the character would be restored in the English localization of Contra: Shattered Soldier, which followed the Japanese continuity.
Contra 4 features the Alien Wars renderings of Bill and Lance under the alternate names of "Jimbo" and "Sully".

AVENGED have just released a interesting little game called ?Free Running?, which was actually released for the PS2 back in 2007 but is due to be released on PC, Wii and Nintendo DS in a few weeks.
Forget cars, trains, packed pavements and crowded platforms, Free Running means the concrete jungle is your urban playground as you run, vault, jump and climb over obstacles in the most fluid and flowing manner possible. Featuring Sebastien Foucan, one of the stars of the acclaimed James Bond film Casino Royale! Sebastien is one of the two originators of the sport of Free Running and has also appeared in many documentaries on the soprt including the award-winning Jump London and Jump Britain.
You will join an elite group of athletes known as Tracers (or Free Runners) and will compete against Sebastien Foucan, the creator of Free Running, seen recently in ?Casino Royale? as well as members of the organisation known as Urban Freeflow. The aim is to become the greatest free runner of all time.
